About
A calculator, not a wealth desk
The rupee’s compound rate, stated plainly. CagrRupee exists because “what was the annual rate on this lumpsum?” is a question that should not require a spreadsheet template or an app login.
Who it is for
People in India — or anyone thinking in rupees — who have two values and a holding period. Mutual-fund lumpsums, a stock bought once, gold, an FD certificate, a goal back-of-envelope. INR grouping is optional so the same maths works on unit NAVs or foreign-currency amounts.
What we deliberately skip
- No backend, no accounts, no cloud folio sync.
- No live Nifty, NAV, or AMFI feed. You type the numbers you trust.
- No XIRR engine. SIPs belong in a dated cash-flow tool.
- No fund recommendations, rankings, or “best ELSS” lists.
How it is built
Static HTML, CSS, and a small client-side script, generated with Astro and hosted as files. That is why the site can sit on Cloudflare Pages without a database. Advertising slots are reserved for Google AdSense once a publisher ID is approved; they do not change the maths.
Editorial stance
Copy on this site is educational. Worked examples use hypothetical names and rounded rupees. Read thedisclaimer if you were about to treat a 14.87% as a promise.
